CBD is produced from hemp. According to the Farm Bill that’s in place, it can contain up to 0.3 percent of Delta 9 THC, but no more than that. I know, you’re probably thinking 0.3 percent, that isn’t much. I fully do get it, but let’s break some of this down a bit.
This means that so long as the product that’s made contains no more than 0.3 percent of Delta 9, then it’s legal. Yes, this Delta 9 is made from the hemp plant, just like CBD is.
This is a gray area, or a loophole, so to speak, that’s in the Farm Bill. This is what makes it possible for there to be fully legal Delta 9 products. Just because it’s made from hemp, doesn’t diminish the fact that it’s Delta 9 in all of its glory.
Where Are These Hemp Sourced Delta 9 Products Legal At?
So, this Delta 9 comes from the hemp plant, just as CBD does. This means that these legal Delta 9 products are legal everywhere that CBD is. How cool is that? This means that it’s basically legal all throughout the US.
There are only a handful of states that do not allow for CBD products to be sold within their state. There’s not many that are like this though. If you’re unsure on what your state’s laws are, just do a simple Google search. It will give you the information that you need.
If you do happen to live in one of these states where it’s considered illegal or banned, don’t stress it too much. Whenever you travel, you will probably go to a state where it is legal to purchase at. That’s how you do it. You are able to buy it while in another state, and consume it there. You’re just not allowed to bring any home with you. That would be illegal.
